Beyond the mortgage, factor in taxes, insurance, HOA fees, and maintenance — these play a big role in monthly comfort. • Clarify your must-haves vs. nice-to-haves. Knowing what’s essential and what’s optional helps you stay focused and avoid overwhelm while touring homes. • Trust the process and ask questions anytime. No question is too small. I came to Zillow after looking at about five loan possibilities in my area, where rates were less than competitive. Allen was the only respondent to my query, but turned out to be quite good.
